Venator in the North East
Our broad and versatile portfolio of leading pigments and additives includes many well-known brand names and industry-leading products. Developed by a talented team of experts, who are committed to continuous, customer-focused innovation, our products are marketed globally to a diversified group of customers.
Our work focuses on titanium dioxide (TiO2) and performance additives. Within these areas we are a leading global producer in many of our key product lines – including TiO2, colour pigments, functional additives, timber treatment and water treatment products. Our products are used as intelligent ingredients in thousands of everyday items including coatings, plastics, cosmetics, paper, pharmaceuticals, fibres, films, inks, catalysts, concrete, building materials and in water purification.
Worldwide we operate 24 facilities and employ approximately 4,300 people, who serve customers in more than 110 countries.
We’re a New York Stock Exchange listed company with our head office based on Teesside at Wynyard Park. We also have two manufacturing facilities in the North East; one in Greatham, Hartlepool, and another in Birtley, Chester-le-Street.
With so many of our employees living and working in the North East, we want to be able to make a real difference to our local communities. That’s why we’re using two of Venator’s core values, Teamwork and Innovation, to provide direct benefits and support local projects that promote this in the local area.Find out more
