3rd Spennymoor Brownies

We are a fledgling Brownie unit which opened in May 2018. We are now at full capacity with a waiting list. We endeavour to provide a safe space for the girls to be themselves and to have fun, adventures and to reach their full potential and be independant in everything we do together. The girls take part in activities not only individually but also together in small groups called sixes and a a whole unit. This encourages them to work in both small teams and larger teams in harmony and as powerful individuals who make a difference.

We would like to attend Waddow Girlguiding Activity Centre in Lancashire on 4th January 2020. The event is Shake, Shake, Wiggle, Wiggle, which is a dance themed fitness day for brownies form all over the UK. It is an amazing opportunity to encourage healthy living and aerobic exercise in a way that is specifically attractive to girls 7-10yrs.

The event will be open to all of the girls in our unit and will most certainly be beneficial to all participants. It will not only benefit their fitness and health but will also be an opportunity for the girls to see for themselves that they are part of a larger organisation by encountering and socialising with brownies form other areas.
