4th Norton Rainbows and Brownies Award Icon Runner Up

Stockton

We are 4th Norton Rainbows and 4th Norton Brownies, based in Norton, Stockton-on-Tees we are two separate units who share the same sense of fun and the same leaders!

We meet on a Friday evening and work on the Girlguiding UK programme. We enjoy working on our unit meeting activities (UMAs), skills builders (SBs) and any other challenges our leaders throw at us. We are badge fanatics and love nothing better than getting all our badges sewn onto our sashes or camp blankets. We enjoy joint events and activities together too. Most of our Brownies were once 4th Norton Rainbows and when its time for Guides they don’t want to leave!

We have had lots of adventures together over the past year and even in lock down have met together on Zoom and worked on lots of badges! Once restrictions are lifted we would like to have more adventures together as a group to help us all reconnect again and make more fun memories rather than just seeing each other through a screen.

We all attend different schools and many of us have become friends by attending Rainbows and Brownies. Even our leaders met through girlguiding. We think guiding friends are the best friends and want to continue our guiding journey together for years to come.
