4th Norton Rainbows and Brownies

We are two groups of girls who meet on a Friday for fun and friendship. We are part of Girlguiding UK and our units have been established for 26 years and 66 years respectively. We share leaders between the two units and we would love to all join together to attend a big regional event next June in Clitheroe, Lancashire. If successful the money would help us to take part together in team building activities such as climbing, crate stacking, grass sledging, circus skills, extreme science, zumba, stilt walking and a caving simulator. We would use the money to help to fund a coach and subside the cost of the tickets as lots of our girls are from low income families and we are based in an area of high unemployment.

We have recently started the new Girlguiding program which gives a stronger emphasis on skills of team work, working together to achieve goals, mindfulness, community participation and developing skills for the girls future. We would like to supplement this with more experiences that girls may not get the chance to do elsewhere.
