Bedlington Cricket Club

We have a rapidly growing junior section due to the inception of All Stars Cricket, aimed at 5-8 year olds. This brings youngsters from various local schools into our club on a twice weekly basis to engage in cricketing activities.

We have a number of young adults who started off as junior members of the club and now help out with coaching of the younger juniors at the All Stars Cricket sessions. Not only have the club supported these young people by providing mentorship, but we have also supported formal cricket coaching courses to enable them to coach the younger children

Many of our younger members have been with the Club for many years and have progressed through the teams to represent the club at a senior level in our weekend teams

If we were successful with this application we would use the funding to purchase more coaching equipment to help us improve the coaching of our new Under 11 team who will take part in League fixtures next season for the first time in many years.  We played some festival / friendly games last season but this extra step up to league games is a watershed moment for the club which will help re establish our junior cricket section.
