Belmont Community School

As a school community is at the center of our ethos. We would like to put the grant, if we win, towards building greater STEM opportunities in our local primary schools.

We would use the money to purchase equipment to be placed in a “Belmont Box” this would be given to our local primaries freely on completion of a training session on how to use the boxes contents.

We would like to empower our local primaries to investigate STEM areas that they may not normally due to lack of equipment or training.

This will also help bridge students transition to secondary science and help build an enthusiasm for STEM subjects. We would also like to involve our science ambassadors in the process. Ideally students would facilitate sessions using some of the equipment in primary schools or at Belmont as we host a visit
