Chester-le-Street United
Durham
Chester-le-Street United is fully inclusive football club providing the means for players of all age, gender, race or religion to play our national game in a safe and secure environment. We accept players irrespective of their ability and are equally proud of every team and every player we have no matter if they play division 1 or division 20.
In a nutshell Chester-le-Street United strives to not only create good footballers, but more importantly good young people, respectful and who work hard to achieve their goals. These are life skills which we want to instill in our players through our coaching and actions, as well as being fit and healthy and understanding the importance of healthy eating – a vital tool in the combat of child obesity.
The club has 4 mens teams, 2 womens teams, 30 boys teams, 11 girls teams and disability football team who train and play football weekly. We also run weekly sessions for children aged between 18 months and 6 years. With over 80 coaches at the club who all volunteer their time week-in week-out to support the teams with coaching, planning, fundraising and many other day to day activities we’re one of the largest volunteer organizations in the area.
As a club we do need to purchase more equipment – specifically fold-away mini goals. These mini goals are excellent to promote small sided games which enough more touches and create better players – and kids love them too!
Any grant would be great help.
