Coatham Netball Club

We are a local Netball Club formed 30 years ago with 30 plus members ranging from 12 – 53 years of age. The club bring together girls and ladies from across the area with a mutual passion for the game of Netball, we develop young people through the club encouraging team work, support of one another, respect and grow confidence. Unfortunately some years ago the club lost thousands of pounds accumulated by the members through no fault of their own. The money was to be used to purchase training equipment, individual affiliations, court fees and netball kit for the 3 teams to compete within the Cleveland Netball League. The club have never quite recovered from the loss of these funds and a sad decision to stop our junior section of under 12’s regrettably had to be made due to increasing overheads and lack of funds.

If the club were to be successful in securing the grant it would be used to purchase equipment in particular netballs and a real boost for the club. Having new equipment instead of substandard improves and develops skills resulting in raised confidence in the person and team.

It is a pleasure to see people flourish and grow as individuals as well as seeing new friendships and bonds between girls and ladies who may never meet under normal circumstances.
