Community kids club

We run a kids club based at downhill old school

we look after school aged children 4 – 14 yrs

we look after children in Sunderland and south Tyneside schools and pick up from 13 different schools

our children are from different back grounds with varied abilities

we have children who attend SEN schools

also children with statements that attend main stream schools

we look after young carers and looked after children

we open before school , after school and throughout the holidays

we are ofsted registered

all staff have first aid qualifications and are all trained in childcare and education

we offer many different activities including arts and crafts , homework clubs

lego clubs , gardening , growing vegetables

fish club

we have cookery clubs

we encourage our children and families to be involved in planning our activities

we work alongside both councils and early years and bics

we practice mindfulness

We are hoping to develop our outside area and require a canopy to shade us from the elements and some suitable furniture so the children can access the outside all year around

we are also developing a family hub in connection with both community kids club and one punch north east
