Cramlington Table Tennis Club is a registered charity, no. 1095616, meeting the Grassroots sports criteria. Its object, “The promotion of community participation in a healthy activity by the provision of facilities for playing table tennis”, serves all those who wish to play table tennis at all levels. It is not an elitist club and its members are a mix of social and competitive players of all ages and abilities.

Around 100 members benefit in many ways. Youngsters learn new sporting skills, gain self-discipline and enjoy a safe environment in the venue used. Social players have an introduction to a healthy activity, making new friends at their playing level. More competitive players, adults and children, will play in leagues, increasing their skills in an activity that enables them to take regular exercise.

The Club is run by voluntary committee, no paid staff, and operates 3 evenings a week, hiring a community sports hall. See its website www.cramlingtontabletennis.info

If successful in gaining the funding it would spend it on a Joola Buddy V300 Table Tennis Robot, a machine that can automatically fire table tennis balls from one end of a table tennis table to the other end in a controlled manner. This would greatly benefit the younger members and social players as they would be able to choose the type of shots and spins they want to practice against. Have a look at how it works on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYCL9UcLdeo

Please help us to buy our Buddy.
