Eaglescliffe Elementis Junior Football Club – Under 11 Blues Award Icon Winner

Stockton

Eaglescliffe Elementis Junior Football Club is a not-for-profit sports club, founded in 2001 and based in Stockton in the North East of England. It takes its name from the Elementis chemical plant that provided the home ground for the club.

The Under 11 Blues team competes in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance League. They train twice a week and play matches most weekends. The team is made up of children from different schools and areas of Stockton.

Covid restrictions caused the children, parents and volunteers to all greatly miss not just playing and watching their sport but being part of their football team family. Also, the normal opportunities to fundraise were lost (through selling snacks, refreshments and raffle tickets at matches etc.)

As training and matches have resumed, the team are now keen to increase their fitness, confidence and team spirit, as well as encourage new members. They are therefore seeking funding towards:

* Team training kit – this would encourage every child to feel a true member of the team, increase their sense of pride and allow new players to join without having to buy sportswear for training;

* New equipment – mini-goals would provide much more flexibility for training exercises on the team’s grass home ground and reduce the reliance on volunteers being available to move the existing large goals around.

Please support the Under 11 Blues!
