Eston Amateur Swimming Club Award Icon Runner Up

Middlesbrough

Eston ASC are a small family friendly swimming club. We are a fully inclusive club with members from the age of 5 upwards and also have a dedicated disability lane for those who struggle to integrate due to their disabilities.

We are constantly trying to develop our squads and to do this we are constantly looking to improve the equipment we have to give the best environment we can offer for the swimmers.

We would like to purchase a new portable pacing clock for the club. A pacing clock is essential in terms of being able to follow the sets that a coach sets up for the squads and allow individual ownership for the swimmers of their own sessions. By being portable it will enable us to move it around to the end of each lane dependent on the sessions being run. By using pacing clocks further distances are able to be managed during the sessions as everyone is aware of where they are up to..

The cost of this would be £254.60 which for a small club like ourselves takes a lot of fundraising. Over the last year we have had to replace our lane ropes and have also had our shallow end starting blocks condemned which has taken up a lot of our fundraising efforts.
