Forest Hall Bowling Club
Newcastle

Forest Hall Bowling Club is affiliated to Bowls England and Bowls Northumberland and is a registered charity (no .1093337). We are not private club, we pay fees to North Tyneside Council for the use of the bowling green and pavilion, which is inside North Tyneside Council’s Springfield Park in Forest Hall. We have been sited in the park since 1964, but we were founded in 1922.
Forest Hall Bowling Club offers outdoor bowling and seeks to offer leisure facilities for the benefit of the local community. We provide free instruction by our qualified coach and free use of equipment to the public regardless of age, gender, religion, ethnicity or impairment. This provides the public the opportunity to try out our sport at no cost. If they then go on to join Forest Hall Bowling Club we have a discounted rate of £20 for the first year of membership (£45 full membership fee, £10 Juniors). Also we provide further free instruction and equipment to members.
We have a membership of 51 men, 22 ladies and 2 juniors. We would like to recruit more ladies and junior members and if our application is successfull we would purchase small sized bowls and shoes for the use of ladies and juniors, as the equipment we have at present is medium to large in size.
