Ivy Road Primary School
North Tyneside
At Ivy Road Primary, we are striving to promote STEM learning. Recently, we have been awarded an Enthuse Award. During this time, we have improved our science teaching and outcomes all year groups. We have improved the children’s knowledge and been working scientifically.
We have applied for your fantastic fund as we want to further the steps we have already made. We have found after an audit of resources that some of the
available equipment is too old or does not work. This does not help our aim to give children memorable learning experiences. We believe practical STEM is the
most important approach to understanding the science curriculum.
If we are successful, we would like to purchase some new equipment for our school. This would be used not just in the class but we hope to run parental workshops.
These workshops would promote the STEM curriculum at school and improve our links with parents. We would use this opportunity to promote the subject,
resources and the school’s profile as we would publish the equipment and activities on our twitter account.
I would really appreciate it if you considered our school for the fabulous opportunity.
Kind regards,
