Levendale Primary School PTA
We are Levendale Primary School Parent Teacher Association (Levendale PTA) and we are applying to the Venator Community Fund for the chance to provide sports equipment for the children of Levendale Primary School. Levendale is a friendly, one form entry school situated on the outskirts of Yarm who passionately believe in giving the children access to an education that is enriching, inspiring and instructive as well as educational to ensure they have the best possible start in life. In recent years, due to the pressures on school budgets, our school has found it increasingly difficult to pay for equipment and activities. Levendale PTA bridge that gap as much as possible through fundraising activities, however, due to the pandemic our funds have been significantly impacted which is why we are applying to the Venator Community Fund.
Our children love playing team sports together and prior to the COVID-19 restrictions they attended many external school sport cluster events, taking part in football, tennis, netball and hockey to name but a few! We have very little sports resources for the children to use and we are in desperate need of goal posts for football and hockey, netball posts, rebound nets and balls for football, rugby, volleyball and dodgeball. If we were successful in our application we would be able to provide much needed sports equipment for the children and also for our after-school clubs which would further promote and inspire teamwork within the children to engage them and increase their love of sport.
