North East Warriors

North East Warriors are a newly formed team and were established in 2018. The team came together and developed a new team and are now competing in the regional and national leagues. The team hosts various disabilities and abilities and welcomes new members to join this close nit group. The team have self funded their way through the first season but now they are looking for something more secure and need help to cover costs for things like, playing chairs, equipment, kit, transport, facility costs and home and games. The team have done some fundraising in the past but this takes a lot of time and effort and this year we would like to just focus on training and competition and not having to worry about the costs.

Wheelchair basketball is an inclusive sport and welcomes those from all abilities and backgrounds. We are hoping to recruit new members and grow the sport in the North East, we just need help with a few things first before we take upon any more responsibilities.

We appreciate all the help in which the community have helped us with so far with the generous donations and we hope to keep growing the sport further to increase disability sport participation in the North East.
