Percy Main Amateurs FC
North Tyneside
Percy Main Amateurs Football Club, is a Community Amateur Sports Club, founded in 1919, who compete in the Northern Football Alliance Premier division and are affiliated to Northumberland FA.
At the moment, the club’s very existence and hopes and ambitions to expand and create further teams at junior and senior level (men and women) for people who live local and within the wider North Tyneside area, has been threatened by the state of the club’s pavilion, which is in a desperate state of repair.
Due to cost and planning restrictions, demolition and rebuild has been sadly ruled out.
Using dwindling club funds and relying on kind donations, the club has embarked on an ambitious drive to make the place safe and bring the building into a habitable condition as the first stage of its development.
Firstly we have had all of the asbestos removed from within the building and have currently embarked on a full (and essential) electrical rewire, replacing the internal structure, (walls & flooring etc) new windows and doors, lighting and are awaiting a quote for a roof repair.
Where possible, club members have been carrying out some of the work ourselves, to lessen the outlay and make more improvements possible with the funds that we currently have, while operating and paying bills at the same time.
Any assistance, financial or otherwise, would be much appreciated!
