Cricket is trying to build on its success in the public eye of 2019! With more kids than ever in the last decade interested in it, however the biggest barrier to entry is the cost of equipment needed! Keeping kids interested despite COVID calling a halt to almost everything in 2020 was difficult but through social media and home school booklets we have maintained that interest.

KB cricket run the Junior Cricket Section at Redcar Cricket Club! We would like to take any award to purchase equipment to help players get started in the game – removing the main barrier to entry

We have already made a pledge to provide free training sessions for all ages 5-16, and allow borrowing of equipment but because of covid this is a concern for some parents despite the extensive sterilisation and disinfection process we undertake
