Saint Charles Gosforth FC

St Charles FC is a team in the North East Christian Fellowship League Football Club based at Druid’s Park, Woolsington. The club has been running since 1987 years consisting of young professionals, members of the emergency and social services to local tradesmen ranging from all ethnic backgrounds between the ages of 18 to 40 years old. In the time we have been in existence we have had hundreds of players come and go with our current squad being a healthy 25 players. We are an honest team with a great togetherness and team spirit, these qualities have helped propel us to achieving promotion to the Premier Division last season and a couple of long National Cup run in previous years taking us to Liverpool and Sussex. We hope to continue going from strength to strength throughout this season and future seasons.

There are however many expenses connected with running our club and we rely for funding solely on our own player contributions and fundraising efforts. The major expense for our club is paying our share of the upkeep costs of our strips, training equipment, training facilities, travel, strips and most importantly the football pitch, of which we are facing some difficulty funding this season.
