Saltburn Athletic Football Club

Saltburn AFC are celebrating 20 years of supplying Football to children in the Teeside area this year and we are in the process of setting up an additional training facility that will also be available to use for the local community. This will involve landscaping, seating and grassed areas as well as the training surface. We currently support 8 teams across age groups ranging from U8’s through to U15’s and we continue to grow year on tear from the 3 teams we had just 4 years ago.We already have sourced 250 trees and bushes as a part of this initiative, funding to help with the clearance and resurfacing of the area and this has been done through match funding and other fund raising initiatives. With this funding we hope we can use to contribute towards fencing the area and whilst this will not cover the whole costs it will significantly help in moving towards this target. Like most Grassroots clubs we struggle for funding and want to continue to support Saltburn, Guisborough, Brotton, Skelton and many other areas where our players come from with a fantastic facility and great equipment for them to enjoy Football and encourage healthy activity, learn team work and leadership as well as build great friendships and enjoy their time with us.
