Skelton United Under 10/12 Girls
Redcar & Cleveland
Skelton United Under 10/12 Girls are a group of talented young female footballers with an incredible attitude towards working together as a team and improving their football skills. We play other local teams in the local North Riding and Tees Valley Girls League and also compete in wider regional competitions, with our home ground located at De Brus Playing Fields, Skelton.
Football is a fantastic sport that not only offers the girls an opportunity to develop their confidence and fitness, but working together creates a strong bond. It also teaches some of the key skills required in life such as; team working, communication, work ethic and respect.
As interest and participation in female grass roots football rises, Skelton United are welcoming young players into a friendly community where everyone works together towards one goal, being successful in all they do.
A grant from the Together Fund would be invested in providing essential training equipment, as well as funding towards tournaments the Under 10/12 Girls team will take part in during the upcoming season. It will help support the development of a group of girls who are looking to build on the progress made in the previous season and who have everything to play for.
Grass roots is where the talent of tomorrow beings their journey and Skelton United are playing our part in developing a team of girls as they aspire to be the next Casey Stone or Stephanie Houghton, playing for their country in a World Cup.
