Spennymoor Town Band
Durham
Spennymoor Town Band are a friendly brass band based seven miles north of Durham.
On 14 March 2020 the band qualified to represent the North of England at the National Brass Band Finals of Great Britain ….one week later the Country was in lockdown. The band is conducted by the very talented Fiona Casewell. The finals scheduled for September were cancelled due to the pandemic. The finals to be held in Cheltenham have been rearranged for 18 September 2021. As like many voluntary organisation the band has lost a majority of their guaranteed income and we are now fundraising to meet the £4,500 costs to get us there.
