Sport Newcastle Tokyo & Beyond Appeal 

Sport Newcastle is an entirely voluntary registered charity which has been supporting grass roots sport on Tyneside since 1967. Since our formation we have provided more than £2.5 million in financial grants to young sporting talent, sports clubs and events. 

We are supported by the regions leading sports stars including Sir John Hall and Alan Shearer CBE are our patrons, Stephen Miller MBE, Victoria Pendleton CBE, Jonathon Edwards CBE and Jonny Wilkinson CBE are all vice-presidents.

Sport Newcastle have a dream of making Newcastle and the wider region a sporting capital that we can all be proud of. Not just football – all sport – any sport. Our Tokyo & Beyond appeal aims to raise £20,000 in the next 12 months to support prospective Olympians and Paralympians in their dreams of reaching the Olympics in Tokyo 2020, Paris 2024 or even Los Angeles in 2028. To Achieve this, we need the support of North East Businesses and the region as a whole.

We want the North East to get behind swimming prospects Nick Pyle and Emily Large, archer Alex Wise and para-swimmer Ellen Stephenson and many other emerging talents in the region. We will award additional grants to help pay for specialist coaching, travel to top level competitions and to show that people in the region are backing them.

The Venator Together Fund 2019 offers a fantastic opportunity to promote our appeal and raise valuable funds.
