Stainsby School of Gymnastics

We are Stainsby School of Gymnastics, and we are looking for support for our Acro Display Team. Although the gymnastics club has been running for some time the Display Team is still relatively new and has only been formed in the past 5 years. It features a team of 30 gymnasts aged 8 upwards working together creating a breathtaking display of skill. By the nature of the sport it is vital that our gymnasts pull together as a team to produce the routine safely and to perfection.

This will be our first year as a competitive squad, having previously only performed in festivals, and we travel to Liverpool in November to represent the club and the region in our very first competition.

Our gymnasts work very hard in the Display Team spending long hours in practice and absolutely love performing together. Being part of the team teaches them discipline, encourages a healthy active lifestyle, as well as forming strong bonds of friendship whilst having fun.

You can imagine it takes a lot of money to kit and transport 30 gymnasts around the country, so we would be very grateful to have £250 towards essential costume costs, our growing gymnasts regularly need to have the costumes altered.
