Teesside Rangers Football Club Award Icon Runner Up

Redcar & Cleveland

Based in Netherfields, Middlesbrough Teesside Rangers was formed in 2011 with an ethos of enjoyment, discipline and development. With that in mind it started with one team and two coaches. Now in 2018 we have grown over seven years to seven teams who all participate in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance. Everyone from the founder to the coaches to the grounds people are volunteers and give their time freely. The club has gained charter standard status and continues to provide sport and football to children from deprived areas of the town. The teams train a couple of times a week and compete in matches each Sunday in League time. For many families, their weekends revolve around the football and it gives the children a positive focus whilst keeping them fit and developing friendships.

The club has conducted a free Saturday morning academy where children attend two hours of free football with our qualified coaches. The club provides a home for everyone involved to enjoy football. If we were successful with the grant, we would purchase new balls and equipment for use by all the teams and for the wider community to use at our free events.
