The Owl Tree Children’s Cafe CIC

The Owl Tree Children’s Café CIC is a parenting support group, established in January 2019 to bring affordable, accessible support to parents of pre-schoolers. We are not a “class” but a community of peer-supporting parents. Our aims, now more than ever are to bring accessible, fun play activities in an environment where parents can meet and socialise and children can interact and learn from each other. We know that we have a successful formula that works – please read our reviews, they speak for themselves.

We, like all groups have struggled financially over the last year but our services are needed more than ever. We are offering “lockdown babies” meet ups for parents of babies born during the pandemic who have missed out on so much of the normal maternity / paternity activities that are vital in establishing friendship groups with other parents. These are free of charge to new parents who are feeling isolated. Money from the fund would go towards this scheme which we plan to offer for several months, for as long as needed.

We hold these sessions alongside our regular parents with older toddlers so that new parents can not only meet others in a similar situation but also learn from the experience and support of parents with older / multiple children.

Due to covid we are also cleaning are placing toys regularly so this money would also help towards replacements and new additions to the baby area.
