Tiny Toes Bumps and Babies CIC
Durham
Tiny Toes Bumps and Babies CIC support families in pregnancy, baby’s first year and beyond. Our main aim is to reduce social isolation and to support positive mental wellbeing.
In the aftermath of the pandemic the (already raised prevalence of isolation/mental ill health in pregnancy/postnatal period) rate of social isolation and mental ill health in this period of family life has grown exponentially – this is sadly well documented in research.
The application on this occasion is to support the creation of a relaxing parent meeting and support facility allowing parents (and babies) to access a whole range of support groups and peer networks reducing social isolation and focusing on a number areas which cause parental anxieties such as feeding, sleep, pregnancy worries and more.
This facility would allow people not only to seek support on both a one to one and group basis, but also to develop friendships and support networks outside of our environment.
