Hello, we are applying for the grants in order to give a child whose parents cant afford to pay the £21 subs fees the opportunity to play football in the club. Our subs are one of the lowest in the area and we have some of the best facilities and equipment but this all comes at a cost. This means we can not afford to let children in and play for free so we look for sponsors or grants to allow them to play in the club for a season. Children who come from broken homes, multiple children in the family where money is tight, parents who don’t work or cant work, kids in homes. There can be a number of reasons why a child’s parents may not be able to afford to pay the small amount of £21 a month and we want to help those kids and give them something worthwhile to do supported by the club and sponsor. This could be the thing that gives that child hope, meaning and something to take them out of their current situation. If the child plays the full season we then intend to work with the parents to help them with the fee or look for further support to allow it to continue. We hope that we are successful so that one child can be helped with the £250 support and give them a start in our club and beyond.
