Women’s Engineering Society Tyne and Tees Cluster Award Icon Winner

Darlington

The Women’s Engineering Society is a charity that supports female engineers, and encourages young girls to consider a career in STEM. If we are successful in securing funding, this would enable an event to go ahead at Middlesbrough College for International Women in Engineering Day (INWED), where year 8 students from local schools would be invited to the STEM centre during the day to learn more about careers in STEM, followed by an evening of lightening talks by local inspirational people aimed at current female engineers, and networking for those who are keen to promote diversity of all kinds in engineering.
