Women’s Engineering Society Tyne and Tees Cluster Award Icon Winner

Darlington

The Women’s Engineering Society is a charity that supports female engineers, and encourages young girls to consider a career in STEM. If we are successful in securing funding, this would enable an event to go ahead at Middlesbrough College for International Women in Engineering Day (INWED), where year 8 students from local schools would be invited to the STEM centre during the day to learn more about careers in STEM, followed by an evening of lightening talks by local¬†inspirational people aimed at current female engineers,¬†and networking for those who are keen to promote diversity of all kinds in engineering.
