The children in Year 6 recently applied to take part in the “Greenpower” competition where they would construct a racing car and take part in a race in June 2019. The aim of this was to develop skills in STEM subjects but also to give them a practical understanding of the subjects and careers for the future. Unfortunately we have been unable to secure funding for the car kit so we have decided to apply for the Venator Bright Ideas Fund.

If successful, we would use the fund to help us purchase the Greenpower kit, we would then work with volunteers to build the car, create a covering for it and hopefully race it to victory in the Greenpower competition!
