Bright Ideas Fund
Bright ideas will shape the future of our world. That’s why Venator is supporting projects that inspire learning in the fields of science, technology, engineering and maths across the North East.
What is Venator's Bright Ideas Fund?
Venator’s Bright Ideas Fund launched in January 2019 to award grants to North East-based groups and organisations that inspire innovation and stimulate learning in science, technology, engineering and maths. The fund is open to applications from Ofsted registered education providers, universities, not-for-profit and community groups, and social enterprises.
Entries for our 2020 Bright Ideas Fund closed on April 9 at a time when the need for STEM-based learning and innovation is more apparent than ever.
Typically, all entries would be reviewed, and successful applicants would then go to a month-long public vote. In 2020 we received fewer entries than usual and as a result, we decided to automatically award all successful applicants with a grant of £250, without having to go through the public voting process.
