I am looking to set up a STEM after school club which will help to raise the aspirations of children in Y3/4 or alternatively, book someone to come in and deliver a club.

The children will participate in the Science based club, ran over a half term (6 weeks,) where we will apply some of their curriculum learning and extend their knowledge and skills further. To support this, I will need to purchase additional resources but due to lack of funding, these would be very limited.

Should I be successful in being awarded funding, I would be able to purchase more resources and re-usable resources which would enable me to run further clubs over the next academic year. This in turn would provide children with more opportunities to partake in work-place type activities, thereby raising their awareness and understanding of possible STEM careers.

In addition, I would like to be able to invest in Science resources for the phase in which I teach or pay to bring someone in to deliver hands-on workshops with our children, e.g. Dr Research (http://drresearch.co.uk/)

Thank you, I look forward to being successful.
