Gateshead Redheugh 1957 is an FA Charter Standard Community Club based in Teams, Gateshead. We have 36 teams, serving around 450+ children and young people on a weekly basis. The club is affiliated through Durham FA, but we are a charity run organisation who relies on the volunteer workforce to keep the club alive.

Established in 1957, the club is now a sports hub, and we are continually working towards making it the heart of the community.

We provide the community with facilities for sports and events and host a number of activities including but not limited to charitable annual events, football facilities for non Redheugh teams. Partner with NUFC Foundation to host Kicks sessions and Durham FA for our Wildcats girls. We also host training for coaching, refereeing and DPA courses.

We are committed to our community which is one of the poorest in the country and determined to expose our youth to this great sport and all of the benefits and opportunity it brings, teaching them community spirit, teamwork and helping them become productive members of society.

Unfortunately we are seeing huge demand across all age groups especially girls and we are having to turn kids away on an almost daily basis as we do not have the facilities to accommodate. This is something we categorically do not want to do so we are currently trying t raise funds to build a new all-weather 11 aside pitch that will effectively more than double our capacity.
