Stockton Rugby Club Is run by unpaid volunteers. Financial support is sought to help restore a derelict changing block back into a usable facility. To give players aged 6-80 (so far) access to pre and post-match changing, showers, essential equipment storage and team camaraderie space.

Teams: Stockton RFC juniors has grown from strength to strength, the community now has children aged 6-18 training and playing weekly. Five established senior men’s teams, growing women’s and girls’ sides and a touch rugby team which add up to Stockton offering a focused commitment to the local sporting desire. Existing changing facilities on the Grangefield site are insufficient to accommodate all.

The pandemic restricted fundraising opportunities putting any restoration on hold, post pandemic the club's been mindful of the sensitivities of fundraising given the challenges many are facing.

Nine of Stockton Boroughs wards are in the 10% most deprived in the country. Rugby brings players from across the area together. Team members interact, learn how work as a team and think about how decisions made will benefit not just themselves, but also their peers. Boundaries are taught, rules are to be followed and responsibility given. Opportunity for all is promoted: to run/pass the ball and play defence in rugby everyone needs to participate, because of this no one is excluded.

The Clubs intention is to provide all players with a sporting environment to play, train or perform in any way as safe as possible. Completing the changing and washing facilities will enhance this aim.
